After sitting for weeks at a single digit platelet count I hit 53 today. B asked me how much I think my platelet was I told her I was 17 on Friday so maybe 20? She had a huge smile on her face and said 53! I haven’t been this high since I got out of the hospital. Numbers are just numbers but I’m excited to have some better numbers.

There is something nice about sitting in the sun since these days I can’t be in direct sun. I watch my show and get my hydration. It’s just super early in the morning and sometimes sleeping in would be nice. But then again lately 4:30am has been my “morning” – I try and lay in bed until a more respectable hour before I get out of bed. I don’t know how healthy that is but it’s the current schedule. J and the children have enjoyed a very short trip up north; I wish however they could have stayed longer. I hate that my cancer takes away from their experiences and their fun. My cancer forces them to give up hobbies and sports because I can’t take them anymore.
The doggos are back with M and from what I understand loving life. Their 4 day cleanse is over now they are back to a steady tax diet of cheese, prosciutto, smoked salmon and Kobe beef. These dogs eat better than most humans. Maybe I’ll go on a little walk after my shower to see if I can make myself feel less like garbage.

I have reached a plateau with my hair loss. It’s back to the Golem stage again but it’s not making the same mess on my bedsheets and pillow cases. As much as it was jarring to see it was also annoying to deal with. The coconut oil glides on my head and my scalp feels less painful. The desire to move, drink or eat isn’t as prominent – I’m not malnourished – there is still plenty of fat to keep this body fed though my muscle goes first. The hydration today made me feel better but then the IV antibiotics make me feel like garbage.
Completely random comment – Honey Bear Honey from Costco is amazing. I purchased Nature Nate’s 100% Pure, Raw & Unfiltered Honey and it was awful. It’s nothing like Costco Honey Bear Honey. I am however trying to get some built up energy to make some Honey Cakes for my neighbors in celebration of the Jewish New Year. Back East Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur were very popular holidays and we got those days off from school. West Coast however doesn’t widely celebrate it. But my neighbors have been just so amazing that I would really like to make them some Honey Cake.
