By the time I woke up this morning J had already packed up the trailer and kids just needed to wake up. Cereal down the hatch and it’s off to the dump station – which was a line. We didn’t end up leaving until 10:30am and arrived home at 1:00pm. Laundry, dinner then L and I sat down to watch The Accountant one of the best movies I’ve seen since John Wick.
Early morning today with bloodwork and biopsy at COH. 10/10 would NOT recommend outpatient bone marrow biopsy. The three times I have had bone marrow biopsy at CT in the hospital were painless and achy afterwards. I got some twilight sedation and click click click, pressure, click, click done. This was not the case at COH. Holy hell…lidocaine is hot garbage. The stinging…yep, burning…oh yea, sharp pain…gonna pee myself. It was not pain free whatsoever. WTF?! The nurse said that outpatient does not use any sedatives just the local numbing. That hospital CTs do biopsies differently. Can I do the hospital CTs one moving forward?! Sh*t. Unfortunately that is not the case – once you are discharged from the hospital, outpatient procedures are different. When it rains….
It pours. The infusion center called in a panic that Dr C removed the order for chemo that was scheduled for tomorrow and that I was no longer his patient. So yea, there’s that. After multiple phone messages Dr C returned my call and told me he transferred me to Dr P. Thanks for letting me know d*ckwad. Guess I won’t be having chemo tomorrow.
Spoke to the office manager at Dr C office. Apparently he did exit me as a patient – I followed his voicemail directions to get blood on Tues 5/23 where the nurse texted him when a follow up blood would be needed he said since I had my appointment with Dr P on 5/24 it would not be needed. So he transitioned me to Dr P. That’s cool, thanks again d*ck. Good thing you’re billing my insurance $580 an office visit. Dr P placed an order my chemo for tomorrow. Now I am having chemo again tomorrow. I don’t have the energy to give a sh*t.
J and I got ingredients for bone broth (with mushrooms and daikons) and pickled daikon/carrot side. I read that vinegar helps with the nausea. The broth looks good but then again looks can be deceiving.
Still on the hunt for wigs. I’m so grateful that my wonderful friend sent me some to try on but they didn’t fit right on me. So I will pay it forward and donate those to the clinic! Ordered another three wigs to see if it’ll work.
